Oh My, Oh MUSE!
So the MUSE/U2 concert was incredible! I know it’s taken me so long to post this, but I’ve been busy. I probably should be working on something else right now, but I just can’t bring myself to start yet on a Friday. School has completely ruined my sense of hard work… just kidding.
We left Saturday at about 1:30 for the concert in Winston-Salem. It was me, Alex, Damien and Laura driving for about 4 hours there. Needless to say, it was MUSE for the entire way up.
Laura and Damien were unable for pictures. Laura was brushing her hair (she’s Asian) and Damien was running into Wendy’s to release his bladder that he had warned us about 2 hours before.
When we got there, the set was absolutely incredible and there were people everywhere. The set is actually supposed to be a spaceship for the U2 concert (why is everything U2 does about space?), but it worked for the MUSE set list, too.
Speaking of the set list, here it is. I’ve included a couple of songs…
- Uprising
- Map of the Problematique
- Supermassive Black Hole
- Interlude
- Hysteria
- Undisclosed Desires
- Unnatural Selection
- Starlight
- Time Is Running Out
It was a great setlist and the only song that I thought they should have played (I would have liked every MUSE song, but that wasn’t going to happen) was Knights of Cydonia.
So here we all are sitting in the stadium waiting for the concert to start.
And then it finally started!
U2 went on right after MUSE, but I’ve never been a big U2 fan, but I listened to Bono sing about space for a while before leaving. Honestly, Bono wouldn’t be Bono without his dorky glasses.
While there were a couple of driving problems, it certainly was a great trip and an even better way to spend a weekend with some great friends. Although, for some reason, Damien hates me. Oh well.

I really like the pic with all of us :O
Glad you guys had fun! Wish I could’ve gone!
