This song always makes me think of several things. Aside from the obvious, it always relates back to how I see myself. I know that others perceive PAUL differently than I do, but to what extent should I trust others’ observations? Usually they make me doubt myself or become self-deprecating in my thoughts. Earlier tonight I was walking and talking with a friend, and he made a rather unpleasant insinuation about my appearance. Now I’m feeling gloomy over the way I look, but no matter how much effort I put into it, nothing ever changes. I guess I’ll just have to learn to love myself through all of my flaws.

Other people do and I find myself loving them in return.
